A lighter ale brewed with very select pale malts and mildly flavored with a blend of special hops. This beer is exceptionally smooth, crisp and very drinkable with a rich gold color.

Bottle. Sour barley malt aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet-sour old barley malt aroma - not extremely pleasant - the same sort of flavor you get when fruit juice starts to turn. Possibly slight infected - just not that great.

Smooth, honey and apple like flavor. Not too strong, but nice none the less.

On draught Feb 2005 at Barleys, Knoxville. Rich, bright orange-gold body with a small white head, not completely filtered looking. Aroma of grass, herbs, hay and grains. Flavor is lightly sweet, with a big dose of straight up pale malt. Some light pils malt sweetness as well, with a muted hops finish. Very good texture, not sharp and bubbly, but smooth, drinkable and only moderately carbonated. Medium-light body.

Bottle: Poured a light golden color beer with a medium bubbly head with average retention. Aroma is quite subtle with some crisp malt noticeable. Taste is quite refreshing with some crisp and sweet malt. I had worst pils but this one just lack character to be truly interesting.

Paid $1.49 for a 12-oz single. Slightly hazy yellow with a very large white head. I wish I could give a 0 for aroma and have it not count, because honestly, I can’t smell a thing from this pour. Taste is dirty and earthy grasses.. kinda light, but not light-light. Kinda sweet and... funky.

From City Beverage in Winston-Salem. Pours a light clear gold color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Weak lacing. The aroma is light hops with a gentle underlying sweetness. Body is on the light side and is a little fizzy, with flavors of hops and some malt. The finish is lightly crisp and bitter. Kind of boring overall but a decent representation of the style.

Golden in colour with a very thin white head. Subtle aroma of malt, metal and a bit of sweetness. Light-bodied; Subtle flavours of malt, but that is about it. Aftertaste shows just about nothing as well, only leaving some of the malt behind. Overall, a spot-on beer for the style, but as it is a blonde, I don't care for it too much. I had this pint on draught at Barley's in Knoxville, Tennessee on 27-September-2003.
