The Valmy blonde has been produced according to the original recipe since its creation in 1999 by three farmers from Valmy. Balanced with a slight bitterness, its golden robe is topped with a fine white foam. It goes very well with meals and in particular Saint-Menehould's pig's foot.

Gushing to good, just off-white head, yellow beer. Vanilla, lactic, fresh grain, liqueur. Oxydation in the mouth, again a bit milky, chalk. Not really light bodied, quite carbonated. Oh well. Interesting to have tasted it - once.

Sampled at the O-Town throwdown. Pours straw with lasting off white head. The aroma is sourness, dirt and wet burlap. The flavor is tough to pin down. I get some light sourness without really a tartness also mustiness and dirt. Thin body and pretty drinkable.

A hazy light yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is of citrus, while the flavor is a combination of citrus and wheat, and the body is thin. This is closer to being a blanche, than a blonde.

Bottle, #1200 Citric yeasty aroma. Hazy yellow, lowish creamy head. Straw and slightly perfumed malt with citrus on top - adding more of the yeast sediment gives it an very nice apricot flavor, hides strength very well. Medium body, sparkly yet creamy mouthfeel. Refreshing and nice..
