330ml bottle, many thanks to JefVerstraete for this. Pours a deep amber, medium frothy off-white head. Nutty caramel malt on the nose. Taste is pillowy smooth, with gentle rich malt, caramel, ripened fruity yeast. Decent, drinks well for the strength.

Quad brewed in Nazareth, bottle from De Hopduvel. Medium thick, lightly lacing, pale yellowish beige head, slowly opening in the middle; misty ruddy bronze-amber brown colour. Aroma of pear, blue plum, candi sugar, caramel candy, brown rum, hints of liquorice, cloves, nutmeg, candied dates, yellow raisins, brown bread, whisky and quite strong varnish-like solventy aspects. Sweet onset but not too cloying, white candi sugar, over fruity aspects of fig, dried banana and apricot; sourish edge too, very softly so. Rounded, bit resiny caramelly malt sweetish body, bread crust- and peanut-like colours, softly carbonated; ends with ongoing caramelliness, only very subtly bittered by floral hops and an afterglow of whisky-ish warming alcohol. Spicy phenols and varnish-like solvents in the background. Cleanish, rather straightforward, too solventy and a bit too boozy, and very obviously directed at the general Belgian palate in its prevailing sweetness, but balanced and enjoyable.

Bottle from LDW, Eke. Hazy red/brown colour, creamy beige head, doesn't stay very long. Medium carbonation. Lots of ripe fruit (dried plums), caramel, sweet malts. Taste is sweet, malty, light bitter. Bit alcoholic. Not bad at all!
