Guess I've been sitting on this for over 7 years - time to try it. Port. prune, coffee, dark chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Oil black with small but long lasting brown head. Very sweet prune, cherry, coffee, chocolate malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Great body and balance. Aged nicely.

No head, pouring viscously to brown-black beer. Rum, Bourbon, sharp aroma with vanilla... not much Port. Sweet, in the flavour the Port is obvious, but yet again vanilla, Bourbon, ketjap manis. Very full bodied, viscous as few. Not the best of Dark Lord bottlings, IMO, but neither the worst, probably.

Bottle thanks to Russell. Pours black with medium tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is dark fruit, vinous, wood, roast. Thick mouth, chewy, roast, vinous, chocolate, wood, molasses, very sweet, boozy finish, very good.

Bottle shared at Mikkeller Bar during CBC weekend 2014 by the incomparably generous Ken. Crazy beer. Pours oily black with a creamy tan head. The nose holds dark fruits, cocoa, roast, burnt bread. Big sweet flavor with buckets of liquefied fruits, gooey chocolate, raisins, prunes, figs, mellow bitterness. Full bodied, thick and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, sticky and sugary sweet, with loads more ripe dark fruits, raisins, brown sugar, chocolate. Big port character. Bulky but divine.
