interestig color, avery dark yellow/light brown, with little to no head. G ood malt profile but kinda boring. crisp with hardly any hops, meh.

Can via Beer Republic. Medium body, medium carbonation. Quickly disappearing head, slightly hazy golden colour with a touch of amber overtones. Lots of sweetness, so the commercial description is way off. Med-light bitterness not enough to balance it out. Moderate oxidation. Average at best.

F: normal sized, white, average retention. C: deep gold, clear. A: malt, caramel, hint of honey, herbal, hint of toast. T: malt, honey, herbal, fruity, clean and simple taste but not bad, medium body, medium carbonation, enjoyed, 341ml bottle from Christmas market in Brussels.

Fresh bottles drunk March 2015
As with most lighter honey ales, the head fizzles away to nothing leaving a light caramel colored, clear body behind.
Nose of fermented honey (floral, somewhat acidic with touches of vanilla and wax) very light biscuits and maybe a touch of floral hops. That may be stretching though. No alcohol, at least, nor is it metallic.
Flavor delivers a weak note of caramel-like flavor mixed in with a touch of honey slickness on the finish. In between there is light waxiness, touches of cardboard and stale biscuits and a lot of fizziness. Body is medium with a wet, fizzy, somewhat slippery texture. For this (usually awful) "style" I’ve certainly had worse. At least you can taste bits of honey that taste real and there are none of the major offenders here (diacetyl, DMS, etc...). That being said, it’s severely lacking in texture and aroma and completely lacking any flavor complexity/depth. But it goes down fairly inoffensively, overall.

Bottle. Boreale dorée honey ale 4.8% A deep gold with a big foamy white head served in a pilsner glass. It has a floral, freshly baked bread and light honey aroma. The taste is alright, it has a matching bready sweet and floral quality which is then joined by honey and possibly a bit of butteriness. OK.

Il n’y a pas grand chose à dire... Un précurseur dans le domaine brassicole par ici mais qui tarde à suivre la parade avec des produits de meilleure qualité. Cette bière fait quand même bonne figure face aux géants ;-)

bouteille 33cl, achetée au Marché de Noël de Bruxelles. Dorée, col blanc moyen. Arôme présente un bouquet léger de miel, le tout reste moyen avec un léger houblonné fruité tirant vers le noble, malt léger caramel sur une pointe de grillé et grains. Palais profite de la douceur mielleuse qui est là quasi le seul point positif de cette bière. Effervescence est moyenne-haute, fruité moyen, malt caramel avec ce côté drêche/grains en fin de bouche suivi de suite par cet ajout minime de miel. Se termine sur un côté houblonné noble, crisp et malt type du style entre carapils, pâle.

Bouteille 341ml. de couleur ambrée-dorée. Nez malté de grains pâles, léger de miel avec des notes fruitées (agrumes), de pain de houblon herbeux (gazon) et floral. Mince-moyenne en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture aux notes huileuses. faibles notes fruitées (agrumes) avec un goût de grains de malt pâle lors de l’entrée en bouche suivi d’un léger goût de pain avec des notes de miel sucré et de biscuits puis en finale, l’on retrouve une légère amertume de houblon floral aux notes herbeuses asséchantes. Post-goût moyen-court et aux notes sèches, très légèrement amer de houblon floral et herbeux avec de faibles notes fruitées (zeste d’agrumes) ainsi que de faibles traces métalliques.

Bouteille 341ml. Couleur ambrée. Arôme de miel, de grains grillés. Au goût le miel ressort particulièrement, un peu de grain grillé mais moindre qu’à l’odeur. Une bonne bière dans l’ensemble, quoi qu’un peu trop sucrée.

Soft aroma of sweetened malts. Excellent smooth head and golden body. Lots of honey and just a bit of malt. Okay mouthfeel. Very simple mix of flavours but very drinkable.
