Bomber. Thanks TJ via DRF. golden orange. looks light. Well, smells like every other APA from FFF. citrus, pine, huge malt-bomb. the flavor isn’t too bad. sweet, orange zest. this isn’t bad but they just over-due the malts.

Haven’t had a Three Floyd’s in awhile and won’t be going to Chicago this year so I’m grateful for my buddy hooking me up with this from his recent trip. He got it at the brewery and it’s less than a month after bottling. Space Station Middle Finger is a 6% Americane Pale Ale that’s a lovely orange gold with a thick head of light beige foam. The hop bouquet is just dripping with juicy fruit notes, citrus/papaya/strawberry, mild pine and an underlying malt syrupy sweetness. Medium bodied, smooth with a dry finish. The taste is lightly bitter earthy pine bark, citrus and sweet malts. It’s got a great balance and goes down smooth. Tasty and dead easy to drink on a sweltering summer day.

Bottle shared by markwise: Poured an orange with a off white head. Aroma is very juicy and malt. Taste super juicy hops with a nice mellowing sweet malt backbone.

Draught@CBC2015. Goldeny amber colour with a small white head. Aroma is grassy and herbal along with some sweet maltiness and a bit citric notes. Flavour is citrus, some bready and hayish notes along with quite much grassy and floral bitterness in the finish.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with an amber hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a lot of grass with some sweet grains, straw and an earthy citrus note. Flavor has more of a sweet citrus note with a good amount of sweet grain and a slight hay note.

Binny’s, chicago bomber: pours golden with a white head. Aroma is citrus and light juicy passionfruit. Taste is juicy and not very bitter. Lightly sweet. Not much of a middle finger. Tame.

Slightly hazy light copper coloured body with a gold glow and a thick, dense, three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of tropical fruits, bubble gum, hybrid hops, some light malt, a touch of sugars and a pineapple sweetness. Medium-bodied; Assertive hops right up front that fade almost immediately to a light airy flavour with not much malt support. Some of the bubble gum comes through, but no real complexity and depth in the flavour. Aftertaste is relatively mild with only a touch of hops, tropical fruit and grass showing at all. Overall, this is passable and decent at best. Seriously - take the label off this thing and pass it in front of a 100 real beer drinkers and this would be lucky to be in the middle 33%. I’m glad I sampled this to cross it off my list and make me re-think my beer purchases from greater Indiana in the future, because I’d never buy this overpriced beer again. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from King Richards Wine & Spirit in Michigan City, Indiana (my first time ever in the state) on 09-September-2015 for US$8,99 sampled just four days later on 13-September-2015 at home in Washington.
