Cask at Southampton Arms. Orange coloured with small head. Aroma and taste were fairly unremarkable. Maybe I was having a bad beer evening but it was pretty disappointing. Bit fruity, but really not much to comment on. Tap said this was 7% and alcohol was pretty prominent. Maybe too much.

Cask @ King William IV. Slightly hazy golden body with a small white head. Light spicy aroma with some fruit and yeast. Flavor is mild fruity, some spices and a bit floral. Medium body and a bit weak in aftertaste. OK decent, session beer, but rather disappointing as a Saison in my book.

(Cask at Cross Keys, Covent Garden, London, 27 Nov) Golden colour, slightly hazy, with brief white head. Fruity, yeasty nose with citrus, hay, earthy hops and a hint of wild yeast. Fruity, spicy taste with notes of citrus, lemon, yeast and earthy, grassy hops in a fairly bitter finish. Medium body, dry. Spicy and tasty, quite a nice saison.

Brodies Birthday Fest at the King William. Clear amber beer. Residual white head. Smooth low carbonation palate. Sweet malt with some caramel. Rich sweet dried fruits with a little marmalade. Neutral finish. A little hop linger in the aftertaste but no real bitterness. Enjoyed it but not very saison like!
