Tap at Yellow Ape. Amber coloured, not much head. Aroma bit fruity, mostly toffee, malty. Taste is nice, malty, sweet. Slightly savoury. Pretty good. End of a long day of beer but was a good finisher.

On tap pours out amber topped with a sand head. Nose is nice sweet heavy malts some toffee caramel a little pit fruit even. Taste is more of the heavy malts toffee caramel and a touch of grassy hops.

Bottle shared with friends. 2013 vintage purchased from Yamaoka Sake Shop in December 2014. Clear golden brown/amber with beige head. Aromas of caramel, dark fruit, light alcohol. Tastes of caramel, honey, toffee. Medium body with a dry finish. Aged pretty well.

Darker orange or more like amber. Nice soft fruity hoppy nose, some sweet caramel there as well. Taste is relatively weaker bodied than nose would reveal. Sweetish but not sticky, fryiry and drinking dangerously easy.

Tasting at Matt’s; vintage 2015
Hazy amber color, small head. Smells a bit like wheat wine, which is not promising; medium body strength, wheat wine flavor, so mostly candyish and cloying. A bit sour in the end.
Not very good.

Has a light amber, some haziness. No head. The nose has some caramel, soft body, and a sugary finish. Bit toasty. Just sort of OK, won’t age that well, and doesn’t have a lot of nuance.

330mL bottle, pours a hazy dark orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out bready malt, toasted caramel, and a little oxidation. Flavour is more of an English-style barley wine, with toasted bread, dry caramel and English malt. Medium sweetness for the style. Not overly complex, but it's alright. Solid.
