Bottle at James’s, thanks to mein host, 26/03/16. Chestnut brown to amber with a well appointed beige cap. Nose is juicy hop, bitter orange, toffee, light pine, straw. Taste comprises airy malt, toasted brown sugar, toffee, brown bread, earthy hop. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid flavoursome hoppy brune.

Bottle @Mad for Beer (Rome). Pours light brown with a medium beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, hops, caramel, coffee. Flavour is perfectly balanced, light malty sweetness, toasted notes, light coffee, good bitter end, dry and extremely drinkable. Light body, watery, medium to light carbonation. Nice!

Bottle from notes. Nose and taste are good malty autumn fruit and nut tones. Very bitter hop finish which is incongruous. Pleasing malt body. However this sufferers terribly from cloud water?s maddening use of hops irrespective of the style. This is another that tastes like an IPA has been mixed in. If they could sort it out they would be a very good brewer.

Keg at Brewdog Shep’s Bush. Bright copper orange coloured pour with a greyish cream frothy head. Aroma is nutty toast, jammy fruit, jam on toast, berry, hint of earth. Flavour is composed of little jammy fruit, nutty earthy toasty grains,a little earthy. Palate is medium bodied, frothy, semi sweet. Good. Like it a lot.

Hazy deep amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is light, fairly smooth and has reasonable fine carbonation. Modestly sweet malts, thin cream. Very mild dark malt character. Mellow pine and a sweetish generic fruit. Smooth piney finish. Not a particularly brown brown ale but smooth and tasty.

Fra fat på Piccadilly Tap 15 Feb 16. Delt med Rune. Brun. Skum langs glasset. Anonym karamellaroma. Smaken lett søt karamell. Blir litt syrlig etter hvert.
