Bottle at Craft CG. Initial smoky ham and then booze too. As it warms you get the fruit, cherry, lots of booze. Then roast, chocolate, coffee, soy sauce, rice crackers. Not sure what's going on, but quite like it.

Bottle at home, 15th April 16. Pours black, fairly flat. Aroma is dark chocolate, wine barrel, Brett. Taste is dark chocolate, sour Brett, slight vineous. Reminds me of some of the De Molens of the style. Very good

Bottle from Beer Gonzo webshop, Earlsdon, Coventry, consumed at home Saturday 16th January 2016 Black, shark eye black with a rim of light beige bubbles, funky brett nose, though it’s not too funky. Taste wise this is very interesting funky, fruity, some sweet cherry, and a little ash, let this warm up and this really opens up wonderfully, being bretty this is much easier drinking than a normal Impy Stout.A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

330ml bottle at 10.5%, so a re-brew, the deScription lies! Pours thick black with no head. Aroma is chocolate, sharp red wine and Brett. Taste is bretty chocolate to start. Sharp liquorice finish. Red wine on the aftertaste. A bit flat in the mouth.

Keg at the Earl of Essex, 14/05/15. Black topped with a dirty tan swirl. Nose is candy bar, red berry tang, chocolate, raspberry, toffee fudge. Taste comprises Black Forest gateaux, dark chocolate, light wood, restrained brett notes, light spice, tarte red berry skins. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a lactic ring. Decent.

Keg at Earl of Essex. It pours near black with a tiny tan head. The nose is rich roast, dark chocolate, light smoke, jammy berry, plum, musty, funk and molasses. The taste is bitter, earthy roasted malt, cocoa, very fruity, red grape, blueberry, berry skin, mild acidity, apple skin, funk, vinous and light alcohol warmth with an earthy finish. Medium and fine carbonation. Interesting. Very fruity and rather drinkable given the style.
