Hazy burnt orange pour, with a small white head. Aroma is very floral, notes of hibiscus, grasses, honeysuckle, and rose hips. Watery mouth feel, very soft carb, almost flat. Finish is sweet, strong notes of rose water, sweet fruit, and subtle honey.

Bottle. Thanks Will. Aroma of potatoes, earthy. Weird taste, floral, sweet, gobo, vegetal in a good way, manure, interesting. A very interesting mix and I liked it, but not sure how much I could drink. --- Beer merged from original tick of MaddAddamites NooBroo on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:05 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 8. Justin thanks for the gift. Shared a tasting. Pours a slightly hazy pinkish amber with a small head. Aromas of burdock root, berry and hibiscus and wood. Light to medium carbonation with medium to light body. Strong tuber and root flavor that overwhelms the palate with some wood and berry in there as well. As it warms up the wild cherry bark and yeast really stand out and it becomes more tart. First time having a gruit. Interesting. --- Beer merged from original tick of MaddAddamites NooBroo on 17 Oct 2015 at 19:59 - Score: 7

Bottle: Poured an amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and some light lacing. Aroma of light tart notes with some herbal notes also discernable. Taste is a mix of herbal notes, light grainy notes with light fruity and tart notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Interesting beer with quite the complex mix while keeping some pretty good balance.

Bottle from the LCBO. Cloudy orange amber with a tiny head. Nose is floral with cherry, green apple, and some grain. Lightly sweet honey with a more pronounced berry tartness. Thin mouth with active carbonation and a short tart finish. Given the list of ingredients I was expecting a more interesting character. Beaus’s has done this better in some other offerings.

Enjoyed at Arrow & the Loon after the RedBlacks first home game. Pours a hazy golden colour with no head, no lacing. Loads of aromas with notes of oranges, mint, yeast and even mild sourness. Fruity taste with the oranges again, sweet teas and mild yeast. Interesting brew with lots of fruity notes of citrus.

On tap at the Ottawa Beerfest. Noobroo a Margaret Atwood & Graeme Gibson collaboration gruit. A deep gold pour with a filmy white head that rims the glass. A tart fruity berry wheat nose. The taste is wheaty biscuit, light berry tartness almost strawberry shortcake like.

Draft - Malty with some spice. Copper with a thin beige head. Malty, some spices and a light sourness. The sourness lightens the beer and makes it quite drinkable. By no means great, but I would have no problem drinking lots of this on a warm day.
