Tap at the brewery a while ago. Nice herby aroma, cheese and chive as usual. Taste is decent, bit funky, maybe a bit more thick than expected, lots of undiluted tropical squash, bit soapy. Not as IPA-ish as I'd hope but it's nice.

Hazy, golden beer. Smells spicy, floral. Taste is quite peppery, some light citrus, bitter hop. Really dry, floral, airy finish. The good people on the bar in the Partizan tap room advised me to have a try first and I can see why. It’s nice but I’d sip one and then move on even if I wasn’t doing the Beer Mile.

Keg at the brewery. I recall Andy saying this beer has some Simcoe in it, so it’s likely the same as the Sorachi Simcoe IPA. Hazy gold - orange beer, small cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry and has a good minerally crispness. Light malts. Good orange and bitter lemon. Floral lemon. Touch of St Clements. Light finish. There is a trace of soap in this which is why I think Partizan have had so many problems with this but I think the real problem is the general public don’t like Sorachi Ace. Heathens!

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours hazy orange with a creamy, white head. The nose holds light plastic, faint citrus rind. Light sweet flavour with some rindy notes, strong grassy bitterness, a bit of plastic and astringency. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Astringent finish with more citrus rind. Not a fan of this one. Has some issues.

Keg at Party Arch, 01/10/16. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white head. Nose is earthy citric rinds, white pepper, spice, straw, punchy Sorachi fumes, grains, lemon rind. Taste comprises white pepper, strong watercress, lemon tinged straw, earthy hop, mineral tang, bitter orange, grains, crackers. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close pricked with Sorachi hop tunes. Decent enough Sorachi brew.
