Si tratta di una Double IPA dal corpo medio, per definizione sopra le righe, quasi arrogante. Il nome di questa birra rispecchia appieno il carattere imponente della sua luppolatura aromatica che regala note prevalentemente resinose.
La sua freschezza la rende pericolosamente beverina, mascherando
l’elevata gradazione alcolica!

Bottle shared at Christ’s post GBBF minidig 16/08/2014. Golden coloured pour with a light haze and a small white head. Aroma is nice resinous pineneedles, orange and lemon citrus. Flavour is orange peel, resinous pine. Smooth firm bitterneess. Palate is slight sticky resin.

Draught @ 6th Borefts Beer Festival 2014, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands. [ As Toccalmatto Maciste Heroic Double IPA ].Clear medium orange yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, pale malt, moderate hoppy, grapefruit, fruity hops. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, fruity hops, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140926]

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours hazy gold with a thin white head. Aromas of stressed yeast, resin, orange peel. Taste is shortbread sweet. Not well made in my opinion.

[9/26/14] Draught sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2014 in Bodegraven. Clear golden. Soapy aroma, yeasty and a bit hoppy. Sweetish yeasty flavor, soapy and spicy, with a bit of hops. Medium-bodied.

Tap at Borefts 2014. Poured hazy medium amber with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is grassy hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a resin wood nettle hop palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Not as alcoholic as I expected.

Sampled draft @ Borefts 2014. Thank you! Light golden, little white head. Oily resin, hops, pure pine resin hops. Taste is very bitter oily pine resin hops, touch bitter herbal, orange, light sweetness underneath. Light carbonation. Nice.
