Si tratta di una Double IPA dal corpo medio, per definizione sopra le righe, quasi arrogante. Il nome di questa birra rispecchia appieno il carattere imponente della sua luppolatura aromatica che regala note prevalentemente resinose.
La sua freschezza la rende pericolosamente beverina, mascherando
l’elevata gradazione alcolica!

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; hazy golden yellow pour with a frothy white head, aroma has peach, lemon oil and malt action, taste has citrus, melon, biscuit, some mango, apricot, light bitterness.

12oz bottle at Il Santo Bevitore in Venice. Pours a light orange with some creamy, lacing white head. Nose is what you want, soap, pine resin, orange, grapefruit, some mild candy. Flavor follows right along, assertive citrus, plenty of soap, some honey and candy smoothing the edges, hints of tropical fruit. Full bodied, but also dry.

On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainis, Brussels, Thursday 19th March 2015 Mid dark gold a little hazy a light film sits atop. Cheesy hops on nose, in the mouth things escalate it’s a beast in disguise. Hops are ever present but bitterness is quite manageable, citrussy flavours abound . A touch pithy, very good. A7 A3 T8 P4 Ov15 3.7

@ ACBF. Amber colour, medium carbonation. Aroma of tropical fruit (pineapple and passion fruit). Bitter hoppy finish. Very juicy and easy drinkable. Very good!

At ACBF. Hazy orangey blonde beer under a stable, creamy head. Very fruity, pineapple, mango, papaja, orange, pink grapefruit, apricot, jackfruit... Vivid fruity onset, supple malty background, a bit honeyish, very faint salty touch adding balance, long and dry, citrussy, resinous, pine-needle-like hop bitter finish. Lovely DIPA.

Draft sample @ ACBF 2015. Dorée sur un léger trouble et presque orangée, col fin blanc. Arôme est houblonné rappelant les fruits fermentés, notes agréable d’agrumes. Palais est compléter par de belles saveurs houblonnées qui rappelle une version plus forte de la Cesarini. De belles notes d’agrumes avec dedans un agréable pamplemousse et un côté plus Chinook et Amarillo. Petit côté pin résiduel. Malt joue la carte de la balance et reste plus discret.

Good yellowish head over hazy yellow-orange beer. Human sweat, old shirts, white grapes, old hops, cheesy. And yet it doesn’t smell bad! Bitter, slightly dusty, very hoppy, bit of lemonzeste and/or preserved zeste; flowers. Medium bodied at least, alcoholwarming. Serious - but good.

Dark yellow small big bubble head, a little cloudy. Aroma is herbal with celery root, honey, other spices. 70 or so IBUs. pine cone taste, really sticky pine taste, the finish is lingering. maybe some old citrus thrown in. interesting but needs more body or some balance.

On tap @ Borefts 2014. A near clear light blurry thick golden color on this. On the top there's a small bubbly white lacing head. Smells nice, well hopped with lots of grapefruit citrus, grassy hops and tones of hay. Not bad. Like hobbit tastes also. Grapefruit bitter, quite zesty. Again, lots of hay like dryness in the taste. In the mouth it's nice thick, creamy and oily and it's gently carbonated. Hints of honey and spruces. Lots of flavor in this. Ends mildly drymouthing. 27.09.2014
