Bottle shared by Lukka19, thanks! Eextremely good beer. Aroma rich toffee and caramel. Taste is once again rich and complex with nuts, toffee, peanut, chocolate, light bourbon notrs and very light alcoholic burn. There is more to it but I suggest drinking it and not reading my notes. One of the titans. Cheers.

33cl bottle - 2015 edition. Dark brown pour, with a modest tan head that is replaced by a thin lacing. Smells of caramel, toffee, bourbon, dark cherries, chocolate and alcohol. Tons of bourbon in the taste, sweet caramel, walnuts, toffee and a hint of sweet coffee. Very smooth mouthfeel, with maybe just a bit too much alcohol in the aftertaste. Excellent beer.

On tap at Winterbiertickfestival Gouda 2016. Black color. Rather dense beige head with good lacing. Aroma’s: lovely bourbon, sweet, with vanilla and some wood retronasal. Flavor is sweet, a bit roasted, alcoholic. Strong alcohol feel. Medium to full bodied. Long finish. Clearly the highlight of the festival.

On tap at Winterbierfestival Gouda 2016. Clear, very dark red to black with a thin, creamy, tan head. Sweetish-malty aroma of vanilla, molasses, dark chocolate and caramel. Sweetish-malty taste of vanilla, caramel, dark chocolate, molasses, some coffee and licorice, followed by a long, warming, slightly boozy finish. Medium to full body, creamy to oily mouthfeel, flat. Great!

Tap, full glass at PINT Winterbierfestival ’16. Black, creamy light-beige head. Aroma is sweet, bourbon, malts, molasses, vanilla, oak, pumpernickel, roasted malts, some coffee. Flavour is rich, bourbon, roasted malts, sweet pumpernickel, sweetener, plums, molasses, some soy sauce, chocolate, bitter finish. Medium to full bodied, smooth.

Bottle. Nose has lots of umami, chocolate and cocoa, soy sauce. Light, crisp, and slightly boozy. Fun stuff with big chocolate flavors . Wood barrel is there, but not a whole lot of bourbon. Rather low in carbonation.

Bottle @ home. Dark brown colour with hardly any head. Smells bourbon, roasty, almond and other nuts, sweet, some alcohol. Very nice. Tastes roasty, sweet, nutty, almond, bourbon, hint of vanilla, hint of cherrypeel. Amazing. Great brew. Full body, soft carbo, velvetty.
