Bottle picked up from Edeka Getränkemarkt, had this Wednesday 21st December 2022 listening to Huw Stephens standing in for Steve Lamaq on 6Music and cooking homemade Lasagna. Pours clear copper in colour with a white head head. Malty with a caramel hit, the underlying sweeteness is a little distracting, nice carbonation, a little mineral edge. Fine.

Bottle from Koelschtrinker. Many thanks! Clear orange/golden colour, creamy white foam. Bready, rather sweet, notes of citrus. Easy drinkable and nice marzen.

"Ottenbräu Märzen", Flasche von Achtner, Abensberg. - Dunkles Goldgelb, klar. - In der Nase schweres helles Malz, Honig, leichte Kräuter. - Antrunk rund und etwas fülliger malzig, schwach toastig. Ein wenig Karamel, wenig süß. Hintergründige fruchtig-florale Hopfenherbe. Milder rezent, leicht trocken. Im Abgang recht knappe Herbe. - Für ein Märzen recht schlank und frisch, schön stimmig und rund; aber für ein Bier, das im Herzen der Hallertau gebraut wird, doch etwas sparsam gehopft.
