Pours amber colour with little head, aroma isn’t much, some malt. The flavor is also very malty with a bitter aftertaste.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Starts mild, malty-dry, fine fruity like plum, a bit earthy. Quite drinkable. Well balanced finish. Very nice dunkel!

(bottle) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a thick off-white foamy head. Sweet toast-malty aroma with chocolate, subtle fruity notes and spicy herbal hops in the background. Sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Toast-malty taste with caramel and lighter notes of chocolate; medium-dry sweet-bitter and toasty finish. Aromatic, well-made Dunkel (15.VII.09).
