Im Glas liegt ein kupferfarbenes bis mittelbraunes dunkles Weizen, mit leicht orangefarbenen Reflexen und einer selbstverständlichen Hefetrübe. Die cremefarbene, sehr feinporige Schaumkrone ist sehr stabil und hält hervorragend. Die durchaus interessante Duftaromatik zeigt Noten von Karamell und Haselnuss und erinnert dabei ein wenig an Nutella. Die zarte holzige Würze passt ganz gut dazu. Im Antrunk angenehm spritzig und frisch mit leicht karamelligen Anklängen. Am Gaumen relativ rezent mit leichten holzigen Noten von Kastanienschale, einer leichten Röstigkeit und zarter Hopfenaromatik. Nicht sonderlich überwältigend, aber durchaus okay. Das Mundgefühl und die Süffigkeit leiden doch merklich unter der etwas hohen Rezenz. Das wiederum wirkt sich natürlich auch auf den Trinkspaß aus. Im Abgang wirkt die Hefearomatik zusammen mit einer leichten Karamellnote sehr gut nach. Mein Fazit: Für meinen Geschmack zu unrund und zu wenig geradlinig - dennoch nicht unbedingt übel.

500ml bottle. Cloudy, dark amber colour with average to huge, thick, frothy, moderately to mostly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Rather weak, wheaty and minimally caramel malty aroma, hints of banana, a touch of toffee, nutty overtones. Taste is minimally sweet, wheaty and caramel malty, minimally dry, grassy and leafy hoppy, hints of banana, a touch of toffee, clove, banana leaves, nutty overtones. Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine and soft carbonation. Balanced, not too sweet, maybe a bit anaemic overall - quite OK.

Trübe dunkelbraune Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, hefiger, fruchtiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, hefig, leicht hopfig, Banane und Karamell. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit aktiver Kohlensäure.

Irritating green bottle. Deep amber to brown colour. Large and loud ivory-coloured head. Stays. Aroma: caramel, candy, bread, esters. Light plus body. Average to lively carbonation. Taste: caramel, toast, brown bread, light banana, apples, distant clove. No bitterness. Drinkable one. But far away from style leaders.

Bottle from a bar in Mayrhofen, Austria, in the company of Mum and Keith, Saturday 17th August 2019. Pours hazy conker brown with an off white, light cappuccino coloured head. Nutty and a little light malty, wheaty but with a nice fruity tang. Pretty good.

Fruity and mildly yeasty aroma of dark and red berries, banana and hints of bubblegum, accompanied by slightly toasted malt and cautious notes of wheat. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Fruit-accented taste, slightly tending to overripe; mildly malty and slightly wheaty body with little dark malt character; sweet malty and fruity finish with mildly clovy and yeasty spice. pours a cloudy dark amber with a big creamy head and a nice lacing. aroma of toasted malts, caramel, banana, cloves. flavour of caramel, banana, dark fruits, yeast, bread, oak, leather. not bad.

Bottle thanks to Alex for bringing this one over. Pours out a rusty amber topped with a sand head. Nose is nutty roast malt caramel and a nice bready malt. Taste is more of the roast malts sweetness toffee.
