This beer takes its name from the sea buckthorn berries which are small orange fruits that grow in thorny bushes located on the coast of the Baie de la Somme. Sea buckthorn berries bring the amber color to this already amber beer. At the tasting, the flavors of orange are very present in the onset. At the end of the palate, the acidulous taste of the berry combined with a beautiful sparkle make it a refreshing and fruity beer.

Pâle oscillant sur l’ambre, col crémeux blanc-cassé bien tenace.
Arôme sur un nez un peu funk – effet rappelant un vieux yaourt dont un rétro lactique. Ce dernier est aussi repris par un apport malté modéré vers le caramel avec un apport de l’argousier plus délicat – et ce malgré son caractère acidulé marqué.
Palais sur une haute effervescence qui enlève de suite le caractère attendu. Pétillant qui se ressent très bien sur la langue et fin de bouche. Petite note un peu acidulée venant de l’argousier. Bière gardant tout de même une base assez française plutôt classique ambre. Effet un peu lactique avec une base matée qui confère un côté caramel tout au long de la dégustation.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes orangegoldenes Bier mit viel Schaum. Geruch malzig, fruchtig, Gewürze, hefig. Geschmack würzig, malzig, süße Früchte, leicht würzig scharfer Abgang.
