The Indie Ale is characterised by a clear amber colour and a very compact creamy head.It displays a surprising balance between the abundant hoppiness and the use of malts.
The citrusy notes, typical of the hops used, live side by side with the sweeter undertones of the malts and with the caramel sensations which slowly mix with fruity, tropical and citrusy taste given by the abundant hoppiness. The finish reveals a surprise bitter taste tending towards a very delicate herbal feeling, which is not at all intrusive and invites the drinker to take their lips straight back to the glass to enjoy another sip.

Bottle. Pours a amber with a slight orange hue and tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of grain with a light fruit note and a bit of grassy citrus underlying. Flavor has sweet grain with a slight musty note and a bit of grass and citrus supporting.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 8/2016. Pours lightly hazy deep orange/copper color with a 2-3 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice dense cap that lasts. Dense foamy lacing clings around the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, pineapple, orange peel, pine, citrus rind, floral, grass, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bright citrus/floral hops and light-moderate malt sweetness; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, pineapple, orange peel, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate amount of pine/citrus peel bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, pineapple, orange peel, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and complexity of bright citrus/floral hops and light-moderate malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall, even though this is labeled as an amber, it is an excellent IPA style. All around great complexity and balance of bright citrus/floral hops and light-moderate malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle at La Cantina Di Miky, Monterosso. Murky bronze body with a thin off-white head. Steady carbonation. Excellent lacing. Aroma of fennel, lightly toasted bread, berries and a hint of filter coffee. Flavour of green apple, caramel, yeast and lime. Medium body with a frothy texture. Soft fizz. I agree with DruncanVeasey - this is Mikkeller-esque in terms of mouthfeel and hoppiness. Very nice indeed.

(Keg at Kaisla, 20140528) The beer poured amber and hazy. Its head was medium sized, white and it lasted long. Aroma had fruitiness, grapefruit and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, sweetness, malts, grass and bitterness. Afteraste was hoppy, sweet and bitter. A nice clean hoppy pale ale. A bonus for well hidden sorachi ace.
