The Indie Ale is characterised by a clear amber colour and a very compact creamy head.It displays a surprising balance between the abundant hoppiness and the use of malts.

The citrusy notes, typical of the hops used, live side by side with the sweeter undertones of the malts and with the caramel sensations which slowly mix with fruity, tropical and citrusy taste given by the abundant hoppiness. The finish reveals a surprise bitter taste tending towards a very delicate herbal feeling, which is not at all intrusive and invites the drinker to take their lips straight back to the glass to enjoy another sip.

Trübes dunkel bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch fruchtig, hopfig, tropische Früchte, süß malzig. So ist auch der Geschmack.

At a tasting, smallish head, quite hazy and a little deep orange colour, aroma, a melange of fruity hops, with some tobacco and herbs, flavour bread, fruit and a quite strong herbal bitterness. Quite nice.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks Tom L. Cloudy deep golden to amber with an off-white head. Nice hoppy aroma with overripe tropical fruits and some yeast. Flavor has yeast, fruitiness, light malt, fruity hops and nice lingering bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

Hazy amber colour. Aroma has plenty of tropical fruit. This fruity hoppiness comes through in the flavour too. Thin, light bodied. Nice session beer.

330ml bottle. Cloudy amber colour with late awakening, small to average, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Intense, fruity hoppy aroma, notes of grapefruit, blood orange, passion fruit, redcurrant. Taste is bitter, slightly fruity hoppy, caramel malty background, some husk, dry and slightly minerally. Very nice hop aroma doesn’t make its way into the taste.

Flaske 0,33l fra Johnny Off-License, Roma. Kjøpt av Rune og delt under seanse hos ham 27 Nov 13. Mørk gylden. Veldig høyt skum med masse lacing. God fruktaroma. Smaken er en blanding av frukt & bær. Bra - men blir litt uforanderlig. KI=4

Bottle Pours dark amber, good white head fades fast . Smell is sweet ( Both hops and malts ) Low carbo . Sweet, fresh , green hops , big maltbase. very nice, interesting beer. Even though you taste much hops, its not really bitter at all . I like it .

Bottle 330ml @Beer Hunters
Clear ruby color, decent off-white head. Herbal hoppyness with some berries. Light to medium-bodied. Caramel, berries and piney hoppyness. Light yeasty-veggie notes lurking. Decent but not very complex brew compared to many fine hops used.

330ml bottle recommended to me when visiting Johnny’s Off License in Roma round Eastern time in 2012. Shared with Finn. Clear golden-brown body under a rocky, concrete off-white head. Nice lacework to the glassware. Leafy hops on the nose. Fresh fruity taste, mandarin and juicy fruits, subdued malty sweetness beneath. Fruity bitterness to the ending. Smooth and fresh mouth feel. Fine bodied and well made (Tromsø 27.11.2013).

A reddish brown beer with a beautiful big, clouding and blond head. The nose is nice, tropical and piney, mangos and fructose sweetness, hint of vegetables. Taste is medium bitter, then slightly milder when the sweetness starts to taste, some tropical fruits, pine needles. Medium bodied, high carbonation, more balanced after a while. Quite nice and succesfully Amber Ale with balanced sweetness, still more fruits and freshness would be needed.
