Das Märzen wurde ursprünglich im März gebraut und bis in den Herbst ausgeschenkt, was der traditionellen Biersorte den Namen gibt. Das Taufkirchner Märzen glänzt bernsteinfarben und begeistert mit ausgewogener Balance zwischen Bittere und Süße. Feinwürzig im Geschmack lässt sich mit dem Bier “bestens feiern”. Ausgezeichnet mit dem Bronze-Award 2012 des European Beer Star in der Kategorie Märzen.

Gold with a foamy, white head. Buttery, dough-like aroma with mild, herbal touches. Taste is dough-like sweet with a mild, grassy bitterness at the back. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, moderate watery texture. Drinkable but underwhelming.

Bottle at Bräustüberl Taufkirchen, Taufkirchen, Bayern, Friday 12th November 2021. Pours deep gold with a hint of haze, nice white head atop. Sweet with some caramel notes, good but not hitting the heights of the Pils or Hefe Weisse.

Many thanks for this bottle to Beerhunter111. Pours a deep golden color, nice frothy head, but it’s all downhill from there. Not much of a nose, slight malty flavor sometimes present. Not too much flavor, not offensive, but not good.

Schraubverschlußflasche: Deep golden, a bit unclear, small, stable and lacy white head, bisquity and pale-malty nose with delicate touch of metal and grassy hops; pretty solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; lighter sweet honeyish and bitter finish. Not great, but good…

(screw cap bottle) Clear, deep golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Biscuity sweet malty aroma with notes of caramel and a touch of herbal and slightly metallic hops. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a spritzy carbonation. Slightly biscuity cara-malty taste with evolving herbal hops profile towards the sweet-bitter finish. Decent. 13.XI.11
