"Weilheimer Festbier", Flasche von Getränke Orterer, Weilheim, verkostet 6.5.2025 nach Friedrich Merzens verunglückter Kanzlerwahl. - Dunkelgoldgelb, blank.

Bottle after installing drywall around drain pipes in the future kitchen. Barely hazy gold with moderate head, nose is sweet, buttery (hmm). The flavor is a bit buttery and a tad vegetal. Overall decent bitterness balance and malty flavor complexity, but these flaws definitely bring it down a bit.

Bottle. Golden, fine carbonatio, white lacing creamy head. Hayish juicy malt and grassy hop aroma. Medium body, fine sparkly on the palate. Chewy grainy base, summery hay, crackers, light berry and bubblegum, grassy, light herbal hop balance. A little bit sticky aftertaste. Quite allright

Heller, herb getreidiger Antrunk. Trockene, grasig alkoholische Noten. Minimal bitter und würzig. Das Bier ist für 6,3% sehr mild, fast schon enttäuschend. Okay. 10/8/8/8/9/8

Euro2-Flasche( right from the source, kindly donated by MoritzF!!!): Golden, almost clear, creamy and lacy white foam, sweetish-grainy nose, straw and also a tinge of honey detectable; mild to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, pretty light bodied for a beer of 6.3%, but surely soft; short sweet-bitter finish, the announced ( on the label) Saaz hops are hardly detectable. Surely not bad, but all in all disappointing…

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Mildly biscuity malty aroma with a whiff of caramel and honey, also a tinge of barnyard is detectable. Moderately sweet and delicately bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a soft and well-matured carbonation. Hearty, biscuit malt-character with traces of caramel, subtle fruity notes and shades of herbal hops far in the background; sweet malty and mildly bitter hoppy finish. Has got a tad more character than the usual Festbier. 02.III.16
