On tap. Pours an opaque black with a creamy beige head leaving laces. Rustic aroma, tart dry fruit and a whiff of glue. Medium-bodied, tart dry fruit, a little caramel and....lactic acid? leading up to the tart finish. 120512

tap at cbc, cloudy brown, almost black, small offwhite head. aroma is strange from the barrelling, mushrooms, loads of woody licorice, flavor is tart from wood, roasted malts, wine, sour dried fruits. not sure if it should be this sour and tart, but it tastes good.
