On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration. This is a dark brown - near murky one with a small heavy lacing and sidesticking beige head. It smells both buttery and sweet, some acidity also and a twitch of berries. Sweet in flavor, both sweet and sour actually, some lilies, licorice, woody red wine and glazed sweet blue plums with a little bit of alcohol. Tasty! 12.05.2012

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. Uinique on the nose this, and it has a really big heavy sidesticking dense beige top of a dark clear ruby brown colored beer. Sugar candy sweet, lots of raisins, the dark and expensive type and not small in quantities. Dark glazed dried fruits as well. Smells really nice this, but it's giving an impression that this is a super sweet beer. Let's try; no, not at all. It has a strong wood sourness actually, and it's not sweet at all. Red sour berries with tons of wood. A bit unexpected considering the aroma. Vinous re wine and lingering flavors. 04.05.2013

Tap at the Craft Beer Co - 11/08/12. Dark black with a thin head that soon cleared to the edge. All sorts going on in this beer in both nose and taste! Aroma - port/ wine, butterscotch, toffee, spices, dark fruit, malts, aniseed. Taste - Dark fruits, fig/raisen, mollasses, burnt tofee and sugar, spice, even a dose of mint. Medium to full bodied with a little alcohol in the finish but just the right level. Would definately re-visit!

Tap at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Pours deep brown with a strong, light tan foam head. Tons of buttery toffee in the nose, with sugary licorice and ripe fruits as well. Medium sweet and lightly tangy with grapes and cherries. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Tangy on the finish, which cuts into the booze pleasantly. There are also notes of faint buttery toffee and dark sugars at the end. The condition of this beer is questionable. And the beer definitely doesn’t have the depth of complexity that a quadruple should have. A mixed bag here.
