22 oz. bottle, pours a jet motor oil black with a tiny beige head. Aroma is very intense, with heaps of cocoa, vanilla and coffee in cohesion. Flavour is intense as hell, with loads of vanilla, coffee and cocoa. Silky, oily mouthfeel, with light carbonation. A bit of harsh, boozy astringency on the finish. Very nice stuff.

Thick, black. The aroma is rich, with a touch of vanilla, and a lot of chocolate. Rich, with a lot of hops, lots of chocolate, The richness, and the bitterness is assertive. The vanilla and coffee show through nicely...cacao maybe not as much. Still, a rich, solid, clinic of the style.

Draft - Nice Barrel and chocolate notes. Jet brown with a rich light brown head. Chocolate, roast and toast and bitter with a nice finish.

Draft at One Mile House, NYC. Pours almost black with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate. Taste follows nose, with caramel, vanilla, molasses. Excellent.

Bottle. A- Roasty, earthy, coffee, vanilla. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Coffee, earthy, roasty, mild bitterness, vanilla, tobacco. P- Full body, creamy texture, average carbonation, rich finish. O- Pours as black as oil in the night. A very robust and serious brew. Not sure the vintage but at least 1.5 years old. Loads of coffee with the perfect touch of vanilla. Great stuff.

On tap at Haymaker Bar and Kitchen, NYC. Black with creamy medium brown head. Cocoa, dark chocolate, some coffee, roasted, malty, vanilla. Sweet. Soft carbonation. Oily. Full bodied.

Oh dear, oh dear, what a dangerously delectable imperial stout. A mountain of chocolate, a tower of coffee, a high hill of vanilla, an...um...extremely large rockpile of licorice, dark fruits, and caramel, all resting languorously atop a bitter hop base strafed by black pepper, pine, and floral notes. Pours as black as your ex’s soul, with a giant dark brown head and voluminous lacing. Incredible chocolate and roasted malt nose with hints of alcohol and pepper. Thick as a milkshake and just as easy to sip. Incredible beer.

Draught @ MBCC '17 [ Red Session ]. - Mikkeller Beer Copenhagen Celebration 2017, Øksnehallen, Halmtorvet 11, 1700 København V, Danmark. [ As Cigar City Marshal Zhukov's Penultimate Push ].Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, roasted - coffee, chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, light nutty - peanut. Flavor is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, malt - nutty bitter, peanut - nutty, dark malt, roasted - coffee, chocolate - vanilla.
