Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy Regular
Score
6.79
ABV: 7.5% IBU: 25 Ticks: 29
The scotch ale style, better defined as wee heavy, represents a Scottish-inspired beer, but which originates from the family of strong English ales. It is a rich and malty beer, which generally goes well with sweet flavors, but never cloying or one-dimensional.

Draft sample @ Birra Expo’14 Piacenza. Brune-acajou, col beige.

Bottle from Birratrovo, Como
Very dark color, almost black; medium sized creamy head. Mild aroma of caramel, with hints of smoke and very light fruitiness. Good body strength, the mouthfeel is rather round; mild flavor of caramel, with nice and delicate smokey touch; low bitterness, maybe too low indeed.
A good beer.
