From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam, Carnivale Brettanomyces 2016. Aroma is malty, tart red fruits, notes of iron, caramel, oak. Flavour is light sourish with a touch of sweetness. Body is medium. Maltier and not as sour as I’d hoped, but still pretty good.

Smaakt naar wilde gist, stoffig, eikenhout. Daarnaast licht en een beetje zoet en moutig. Super fraaie oud bruin.

Bottle. A- Dusty, funk, wet basement, mild vinegar, tart. A- Mahogany color, hazy liquid, beige head. T- Manure, oak, musty, mild plum. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, funky finish. O- Really dusty aroma. Lots of damp basement. Not bad but as it warmed it got progressively worse. Not a big fan and a bit of a let down. Thought at first this was just underrated but it falls short.

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 09.09.19. Hazy mahogany. Small beige head. Very fine aroma and even better taste of sour malt, sour plums and maple syrup.

Tap @ Beer Temple. Oak, caramel, vinegar and red fruit in the aroma. Dry, soft roasty caramelly flavor with raisin and soft bretty notes.

Aus der Flasche im 2018-05 getrunken. In der Nase ist es ein typisches Oude Bruin mit schönen Fruchtaromen und deutlicher Säure. Doch dann am Gaumen über dieses Ale mit einer deutlichen Kuhstallnote wie ein Farmhouse Ale. Das ist leider nicht so ganz mein Ding. Ich sag mal ein spannendes Ale wo ich dann lieber zu einen Rodenbach Grand Cru greifen würde.

Keg at Man in The Moon, Stockholm. Hazy mahogany colour, small head. Yeasty nose with some wood. Sweet with medium body and rounded, spritzy mouthfeel. Yeasty and floral, some marmelade, soap and wood. Salty finish. Disappointing.

Tasted from the tap on the 07/05/2017. Clear reddish brown colour with a minimal off-white head. Aroma of brown sugar, red fruits and wine. Taste is tarty sweet, caramel, wood and some brown sugar. Soft carbonation and woody finish. Next one please!
