12 ounce bottle from Woodman's Appleton, 9/21/19. Black (appropriately enough), thin dark brown head, fizzy, good retention. Aroma of roast, coffee, chocolate. Taste is roast, chocolate, tobacco, vanilla, sarsaparilla. Medium bodied, mildly chewy, lingering bitterness. Nice.

Bottle. A- Roasty, charcoal. A- Black color, dark liquid, tan head. T- Roasty, dry, cocoa. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- First no frills not imperialized stout I've had in a while. Quite roasty and a fair amount of dry cocoa powder. A very mild bitterness.
It's okay.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a small foamy brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was toasty with cola and a touch of cocoa. The flavor was dryish and somewhat bitter with notes of cola, wood and cocoa. Medium length finish. Moderately full bodied and smooth. Solid.

12 fl.oz bottle. Pous almost clear dark brown colour with a mid-sized most good lasting tan head. Aroma of dark roasted malt, chocolate, nuts, vanlla. Taste of sweet mild roasted malt, a lot of nuts, milk, some chocolate #fuck BVB# :-p

bottle - Pours black with a lingering tan head. It smells of dark roast malt and chocolate. The flavor is sweet and full of chocolate with dark roast character. Some hops are detectable but it’s sweet enough that it doesn’t taste like the 54 IBUs it’s said to have. Medium to full bodied, this is a very solid sweet stout.

12oz bottle. First off, this shiz is 6.5% so check yoself. One thick and sugary stout for 6.5%. Tastes like a Stout fell in a bucket of cacao nibs and specialty malts. Thick and deep. Doesn’t really capture much that I want, but it is certainly bold. Unruly, thick, heavy, sweet. OK.

bottle. pretty ho-hum stout. Pretty decent as a run of the mill stout, but lacking any wow

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly pitch black color with a 2 finger dense tan head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, dark fudge, roasted malt, toast, dark bread, light char, light smoke, light herbal, and roasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt and light earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, dark fudge, roasted malt, toast, dark bread, light char, light smoke, herbal, and roasted earthiness. Moderate amount of earthy hop/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, dark fudge, roasted malt, toast, dark bread, light char/smoke, herbal, and roasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice robustness and complexity of dark/roasted malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a nice roast malt bitterness/sweetness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy, and lightly slick/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice stout! All around good complexity, balance, and robustness of dark/roasted malt and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
