A strong Tripel beer inspired by the 1933 classic King Kong. As a little treat for the 8th wonder of the world, we added a crate of coconut. The taste of wild banana was created by fermentation at high temperature. A beer with a roar. But remember: many good men have challenged King Kong, none stood to tell the story.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, May 18. Thanks Simone for this. Misty yellow appearance, small white head. Some tripel yeast aromatics. Coconut seems to works well with the tripel yeast though does seem to fade somewhat, a touch of sour coming through perhaps. Generally ok.

330ml bottle: BB Oct 2020. Drank on 29th May 2018 in Chez Sophie, cheers Simon for this offering (Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group meeting). A misty golden body held a wispy white head above. I thought this a little Coconut Shy to be honest, yeasty and slightly fruity but lacking in any flavour depth, and not as interesting as the label intimated.

Bottle. Aroma of yeast esters, malt and some stonefruit. Taste of subtle coconut, malt, yeast ester, smooth banana and malt. Nice tropical tripel.

Bottle @ home. Hazy yellowish colour with no head. Smells sweetish, herbs, malts. Tastes sweet, malty and coconut. I dislike coconut, but the bottle was gifted to me. Wouldn’t have bought it otherwise. Luckily the coconut is quite soft and not too in your face. Medium body, soft carbo.

Niet verwacht dit. Gezien de beschrijving van coconut, een veel zoeter bier verwacht. Verrassend lekker! Uit fles gedronken.

Hazy medium golden colour, tall foamy white head, slowly diminishing, good lacing. Light fruity nose, aroma malts, caramel, candy sugar, bubble gum, yeast, no cocos. Taste light light heavy sweet and light bitter, malty, quity spicy. Sweetbitter aftertaste, herbal notes, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, despite the nice aroma a bit dull.
