"Eibauer Schwarzbier", Flasche von Getränke Hoffmann, Gallinchen (Cottbus), verkostet 10.6.2025 im Direktvergleich mit dem "Schwarzen Esel" aus Eisenach. - Tiefdunkles Kastanienrotbraun.

Aroma of malt, bread, grain, caramel, some roast. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a light bittersweet finish. Not impressed, too thin and weak.

500 ml can from the Costco German Biergarten Collection. Pours a clear, very dark amber-brown color with a thick khaki head and very good retention. Very good lacing too. Dark malt aroma, as expected. The taste follows the nose: Smooth, clean, and lightly sweet dark malt flavor throughout. Simple, uncomplicated profile. Nice, easy drinking beer. Medium-light body. Medium-light carbonation. No bitterness and no coffee notes.

330 ml bottle. Black red with a big bubbly head. Roasted malt, caramel, earthy, citrusy, bready. Mild dry bitterness, malty sweetness. Light bodied, oily texture, soft to lively carbonated, dry malty caramely finish. Decent Schwarzbier.
