Tego typu piwem najlepiej delektować się ze szkła kumulującego aromaty, takiego jak sniffter lub sensoric. Koniecznie należy je pić w nieco podwyższonej temperaturze, tak aby poczuć całą paletę smaków i aromatów. Ciekawym pomysłem jest rozpoczęcie degustacji w temperaturze 10-120C i stopniowe ogrzewanie szklanki w dłoniach tak, aby osiągnąć 16-18 stopni. W trakcie można ocenić jak aromaty się zmieniają – często mówimy o tym, że piwo się „otwiera”, czyli ukazuje coraz to inne aromaty, które dopiero w wyższej temperaturze stają się intensywniejsze.

Draft. A black beer with a bubbly brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, alcohol, dark chocolate, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of dark chocolate, roasted malt, spices, and alcohol, leading to a bitter finish.

Flaska från ebrouwarium.pl. Nästa två år gammal. Mörkt brun, klar lågt beige skum. Stor och söt kropp, mycket mörk lite kärv fudge med brända toner, karamelliserat socker men också en märk bärig lite syltig ton av blåbär, svarta vinbär och björnbär. Gott.

Keg at Dudes, MBCC day one interlude, 11/05/18. Black with a well presented tan head. Nose is rich roast, dark chocolate, spice, mellow booze. Taste comprises sweet malts, toffee, light spice, chocolate, fruit cake. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a kiss of booze. Ok impy stout but little Ww offered here ... a touch simplistic.

28/7/2018. Bottle at Højbjerg tasting. Pours very dark brown with minimal head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, liquorice, dark fruits, hint of tobacco and peat. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium plus body, slight oily texture, average carbonation.

Sampled from tap at BPBW 2018. Pitch black with a beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite roasty aroma of praline, mocca and some licorice. Quite sweet, malty, moderately roasty taste of praline, mocca and some licorice, followed by a medium long, rather roasty-bitter, slightly earthy finish. Medium to full body, slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!
