Black with a large creamy beige head that lingered. Toasty, woody and a bit doughy. Medium finish and body.

Larger pounder can. Pour is darker brown with a maroon tinge shade shining thru. Smell is mild dark malt. First taste is dark slightly roasted malt feel. No real bitterness can be found. Smoother dark beer feeling. Decent carbonation. Slight cloying sweetness in the middle but not enough to make it distracting. Going down quite nice. Near the end I'm getting some of that old damp partially burned campfire wood character. Finishes with a solid satisfying schartzbeir attitude. Not bad. S6 L4 F2 T7 O

500 ml can from Total Wine - Las Vegas. Pours a very dark brown color with dark ruby highlights and a large, tight khaki head with excellent retention. Very good lacing too. Dark malt aroma. Sweet dark malt and dark bread flavor, matching the nose. Simple profile, and really good. Super clean and smooth. Medium-light body. Low carbonation. Zero bitterness. Prost!

Pours mahogany tinged dark brown into an English pint. Mocha head with little retention recedes to mottle surface. Mild fig and multigrain aromas. Soft and watery with metallic dishwater, fig and dry pumpernickel front to back. Lasting bitter earth finish.

Pour is a cola looking brown with a small white head. Aroma is a little dark fruit and treacle. Flavor is more dark fruit with a little cocoa powder. It is a bit thin but the flavor was there.

Can, from Food Bazaar. Pours clear dark brown with copper highlights, small frothy beige head that flops down fast, faint caramel aroma, medium carbonation, mildly bitter caramel malt taste, smooth thin body, long caramel finish. Nice schwarzbier though a bit watery.
