Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus, Pffafenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at home Wednesday 24th August 2022 listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music cooking a Thai Prawn and Lime Curry. Pours hazy, dirty gold with a white head. Soft moutheel, smooth but a little confused and muddy, middling sweetness with a little fruitiness.

330ml bottle. Hazy, orangey, dark golden colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Rather weak, fruity hoppy and biscuity, pale malty aroma, hints of pear, quince, peach, mirabelle, yellow stone fruit in general, whiffs of ice tea, yeasty spicy overtones. Taste is minimally dry, fruity hoppy, minimally tart-ish, herbal-grassy, minimally husky, bready, pale malty basis without residual sweetness and aspects of white bread, a touch of pear, quince, yellow stone fruit, sorrel; yeasty spicy overtones. Creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, very fine, soft carbonation. Somewhat indecisive: only hesitantly hoppy, unfiltered, some yeasty spiciness - a spin at every screw but no competitive set-up.

Hazy to cloudy pale golden colour, lots of tiny bubbles, good thick frothy off-white head, patchy lacing. Aroma sweet malt, grain, fruity hops (strawberries, cherries), yeast. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, fruity. Light body, oily texture, soft carbonation, sweet fruity and malty aftertaste, light bitterness, okay.

Fläschla: Hazy, golden with an orangey sheen, almost medium-sized and quite stable white head, moderate bitter-sweet grainy to bready nose, herbal-fruity hops underneath; almost moderate bitter-sweet flavour, quite light bodied and a bit fizzy; slightly lingering dryish bitter-sweet finish with bready traces and - again - fruity hops. Not great, but better than many samples of Your usual expensive craft-beer...
