On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear copper with medium beige head that lasts. The aroma is smoked malt, peat, earth. Slick body, smoked malt, meaty, light dryness, very good.

Draight atRevolition on Milwaukee Ave. This is good. It has one of the better smoke aromas for domestic raichbier. Flavor is dry, malt, just a hint of sugar. Campfire, mildly bitter and lasting smoke in the aftertaste.

5oz pour at the Revolution brew pub pours a dark gold with a ring of white head. Nose has quite a bit of smoked and toasted malts, barbecue, some wood shavings, a little sooty. Flavor follows, soot, a little beech wood, tanned leather, straw, a little burnt chaff. Clean finish.

Tap at Revolution Brewing, Milwaulkee Ave, Chicago. Poured a clear medium amber with a round white head. The aroma is smokey with a hint of malt. The flavour is medium to weak bitter with malty hop weak smoke metallic palate. Rather refreshing. One for bacon lovers.
