Bottle, danke Günther! Clear dark borwn, golden brown foam. Light poopy roast, medium body, dry tart to sour, some dark chocolate, herbal, light booze. Sour grain finish. A bit infected it seems.

330ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with ruby shimmer and average, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, tan head. Sweet-ish, dark malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, some dark caramel, nutty overtones, whiffs of dark, oily cocoa. Taste is dry, toasty, nutty, dark malty, moderately bitter hoppy, minimally diluted notes of malt lozenge, dark caramel, toasted nuts, some roasty hints of coffee, dark cocoa, some resinous hop. Oily texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, prickly carbonation. Can't get any chocolate to be honest, but a good deal of other dark malty flavours - very nice.

0.33 l bottle from 'Holy Craft Beer Store', 2020 vintage, best before December 2021. Clear, very dark ruby with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, moderately fruity and a bit roasty aroma of caramel, cherry, raspberry and some chocolate. Quite sweet, malty, slightly fruity taste of caramel, chocolate, nuts, cherry and raspberry, followed by a short, slightly bitter, minimally roasty finish. Medium to full body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Very harmonious, surprisingly fruity Doppelbock, goes down easily, yet quite moreish. Nice!

330ml bottle, from Kolshtrinker. Many thanks! Pours a deep dark brown, minimal bubbles remaining atop. Grainy nose, some cocoa perhaps. Light bock character overall, easy-drinking, with some light dusty cocoa and grainy malt. Some more dark chocolate notes would've been welcomed, but it's not too bad.

Shared @ Koelschtrinker's tasting. Smooth nice chocolate and smooth grain. Easy to drink with a nice chocolate roasted aroma. Nice round, milk chocolate there, refreshing with a deep chocolate aftertaste with not too much sweetness. --- Beer merged from original tick of dark choc Chocolate Bock on 03 Apr 2019 at 00:23 - Score: 8

Bottle: Deep chestnut-amber coloured, smaller loose tanned head, quite stable; moderate sweet dark-malty and caramelly nose with notes of dried fruits, cacao and sweet Red wine, delicate toasty and chocolatey bitterness underneath; distinctive sweet flavour, accompanied by a shy malty bitterness, medium to full bodied, soft and creamy; sweet-fruity and caramelly-malty finish, accompanied by a mild roasty bitterness. Pretty sweet, but nevertheless pretty good...

Getreidig malziger, leicht süßer Beginn. Geringe Röstigkeit, etwas Schokolade, darunter minimal säuerlich. Süffig, mittellanger Abgang. Okay. 9/9/8/9/9/9
