Frischeisen Märzen, Flasche von Edeka Dillinger, Kelheim (MHD: 12.01.21). - Helles Goldbraun, leicht trüb. - In der Nase leicht säuerliche Altersnote, ein Hauch von Essig über brotig-toastigem Malz mit milder Hopfenherbe. - Antrunk frisch brotig-hellmalzig mit feiner Karamelnote, etwas Honig und deutlicher aber noch nicht unangenehmer Säure, die sich zwar gut mit limonadig-orangenfruchtigen Aromen verbindet, aber den Malzkörper und die feine Karamelsüße stark anknabbert. Gut rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang hintergründige herbale Hopfenherbe und säuerliche Orange. - Eine vor Ort gekaufte, noch drei Monate haltbare Flasche dürfte eigentlich nicht umgekippt sein, aber diese säuerliche Altersnote ist schon grenzwertig. Etwas für Liebhaber spezieller Biere. (11.10.2020.)

50cl bottle from the brew. A clear golden beer with a white head. Aroma of dry mild caramelish malt, straw, floral dry hops. Taste of dry floral hops, pale malt, some caramel, moderate bitternes, nice and interesting.

Pours a golden color, white, quickly diminishing head. Malty, light sweet and very yeasty aroma.

Pours a clear golden color topped with average whit head. Malty, grainy and fruity aroma. The taste is sweet and slightly yeasty, bready. Not completely nice. Something seems a bit off.

Heller, etwas plump wirkender Antrunk. Leicht getreidig, helles Malz, wenig hopfig. Süffiges monotones Bier. 8/8/8/8/7/8

Tap at Hallertauer Bierfestival 2012. Pale golden, lacing head indistinguishable from the pils I had before, but they assured me the kegs were different. Weird. Light hop aromantics, salty, minerally, leafy. Medium Chewy body.

Bottle: Golden to deep golden coloured, rather quickly vanishing white head, grainy, slightly metallic nose with traces of bisquits and alcohol, shy aromatic hops in the background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; short, faint bitter-sweet finish. Almost bland brew with a little hoppiness in the aftertaste......

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a short foamy white head. Medium-sweet, soft-grainy malt aroma with a touch of honey and a spicy barnyard-like blend. Light-sweet flavour with a whiff of acidity that does not result from expiration, quite light bodied according its abv with a moderate carbonation. Pale malt-character, slightly chalky with notes of honey; dry, light bitter and slim finish. Very unspectacular Märzen, but also easy going and not really bad.
