We make no secret that we love saisons here at LOKA POLLY. The Belgian style that got both Sean and Arron hooked on beer receives the LP treatment through a mountain of dry hopping with Hallertau Blanc, Mosaic and Chinook. A beer that got its name completely by accident; when designing our beers for the first part of 2019, Sean misheard Arron’s “Fill the void in April” for “Fill & Avoid in April” and our first Augment Belgian style was born.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced via Premier Hop. Pours lightly hazy orange-gold with a lively, frothy white head. Nice saison, fairly classic, some sweet wheat notes, a little lemon meringue, nice yeast expression subtle bitter grass and straw. Light to medium bodied with active, massaging carbonation. Somewhat sweet on the finish, with a bit more citrusy sugars, yeast, mild alcohol. Solid.

Danke an minutemat. Hefiger, mild säuerlicher Antrunk. Erhöhte Karbonisierung, dabei fein, typisch. Der deutliche Hopfenton ist dagegen erwähnenswert und bringt ein trocken blumiges Aroma ins Bier. Typisch kräutrig hefige Saisonaromen, etwas grasig, geringfügig herb. Mittellanger, leicht alkoholischer Ausklang. 8/10/11/11/10/11

44cl bottle. A hazy yellow golden beer with a white head. Aroma of herbal malt, yellow fruits, citrus and banana. Taste of herbal malt, yeast, lacto, banana, grapes and citrus. Interesting!

Many thanks to Beerhunter111 for sharing. Intense fruity fresh deep nose. lots of dry hops. Fresh deep intense bitter beginning. Deep, long bitter, intense fruity with a grainy floral aftertaste.

Can from Cork & Cask. Hazy golden body with a white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of apple and dandelion. Flavour of lemon and a hint of plastic on the finish. Medium body with a slightly sticky texture. Soft fizz. A decent Saison but not as clean as it could have been.

440ml can @ Station. Pours gold with a light mist, frothy white head. Aroma presents a light floral saison yeast sweetness, taste is lovely and light with a subtle saison sweet character, fluffy yeast... not getting huge amounts of hops, but they do perhaps contribute to its sweetness. Love how light and drinkable this is. Great stuff.
