Bottle at home, 9th October 16. Pours thick and black. Aroma is quality coffee, raw bean, cocoa. Taste is coffee bean, bitter and sweet, not overlly, it’s coffee forward, but there are other flavours going on, leather, dark chocolate. The balance is perfect, and the palate is exact for the style and taste. Very good imperial coffee stout.

330 ml bottle, bb 05.07.2017.
Black body, with a big, dense, creamy, lacing, coffee-colored head.
Aroma of coffee beans, espresso, liquorice, cocoa powder, some dark chocolate, subtle dark fruits.
Taste follows this pretty much.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes roasty-bitter, dry, wooden, with coffee beans, liquorice, some dark chocolate.
Tasty. Straight, but really well balanced, with lovely coffee notes. Drinks pretty smooth, alcohol is well balanced. Great style example, while not among my favourite ones.

0,33l bottle at home shared by 4 from trade with rich182, big thanks. BB 05.07.2017. black color, small coffee colored head. smells bitter herbal, ashy, earthy, spices, bitter chocolate, coffee, milk chocolate. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of ash, spices, bitter chocolate, peppery, light vanilla, licorice. finishes rather roasty and lightly bitter with notes of herbs, ash and coffee. good stuff, a bit too peppery, maybe not fresh enough for the hops. overall nice though.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks Theydon_Bois for this bottle! Black with a nice brown head. Lovely roasty aroma with lots of coffee beans (a bit "green") and a bit of piney hops. Bittersweetish flavor, roast, with lots of coffee, some dark chocolate and a roasty and hoppy (pine and citrus) bitter finish. Full-bodied and rounded. Great.

This tasty beer was sent to my by Ben - thanks! Pours opaque black with a very small secondary brown head that leaves pretty nice lacing when all is said and done. Aroma has strong notes of coffee, roast, espresso, floral, perfume, chocolate. Flavor follows, light plus sweet, medium bitter, coffee, ashes, roasty, cocoa, floral hops, perhaps a slight touch of pine. Lingering bitterness into the far finish. Medium plus body, oily mouthfeel. This is a nice beer - thanks again Ben!
