A bottle picked up from Camba brewery, Seeon, Bayern and consumed at home Sunday 28th August 2022 listening to Ghum - Bitter, btw changed plans now we're eating a Cannelloni. Pours almost black with a light beige head. Woody nose, the rum barrel ageing noted as is a little chocolate and liquorice. Tangy, with some bitterness, dark chocolate, a woodiness, smooth but not sweet or cloying. This is a more 'old skool' Impy Stout, it won't appeal to all but I like it.

9/10/2019. 25cl bottle at Tap House, Munich. Pours black with a small beige head. Aroma of rum, wood, chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, dried fruit and rich fruit cake. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Very good but not excellent.
