Tried at the horse and jockey. Waddington. Copper to amber colour with a foamy head. Very light aroma. A touch of malt and basement. Taste light and rough.

Cask @ Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. Copper with a small creamy head. More of a typical English bitter than a mild. Light malts, small to medium bitterness.

Cask at the Retreat, Reading. Reddish chestnut with a cream head; aroma of leafy hops and rich malts; good malty body with dry hops to finish. Simple, but very good.
