Gravity cask at Pigs Ear 2023, day 1 - London. Pours black-brown with a creamy tan head. Light sweet flavour with dry and lightly ashy roast, wood. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Drying and ashy finish, baking cocoa, more woody dryness. Tasty.

Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty, woody, farmyard roast, nutty, dried fruit. Fruit and nut. Palate is semi sweet, oily, moderate carbonation. Good.

Pigs Ear. Cask. Almost clear dark brown beer, decent bubbly tan head. Palate is light and semi dry, quite thin, reasonable fine carbonation. Thinnish dark malts, some cocoa and mild roast. Modest ripe fruits. Light dry finish. Tasty enough.

Cask at the Half Moon, Darlington. Black colour, beige head and roasted malt aroma. Taste is roast malty, dark fruits, chocolate, coffee and earthy bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, roast bitter finish. Quite OK.
