A new, contemporary golden ale with a heavy hoppy citrus bias provided by the outstandingly fruity American Columbus hop. Very refreshing and full of flavour.

29th April 2015: cask pint in The Shakespeare, Coalport Shropshire. Old gold in colour with a lasting off-white head. Chemical feel to the brew, metallic too. It reminded me of a keg brew, cold, fizzy and uninteresting. Struggled to find and aroma or flavours apart from the chemical and metallic notes already mentioned: not a good pint on the day.

Cask @ The Albert, Hebden Bridge. Clear golden with a small creamy head. Has a sweet berry sweetness in its nose with a lighter sweetness for its taste, but thinning tasting.

500ml bottle from the Lion’s Den, Yarm. Clear amber colour, foam white head and aroma is malty, citrus, metallic. Taste is biscuity malt, with citrus notes and some grassy bitterness. Smoothish mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, dry lingering slightly metallic bitter finish. Quite drinkable.
