30cl Bottle from Mitra Heerhugowaard. Clear copper golden colour, white head. Aroma of pale malts and apples. Flavour is light sweet, malts and apples at first, but then turns sharp with alcohol, grapes, like dry white wine, but not in a good way imo. Light bitter finish, medium bodied.

Bottled (CK, 30cl). Very pale yellow color with vanishing head - looks like cider. A bit earthy, fruity, white wineous aroma. Tickling carbonation. Apple flavoured sparkling wine flavor with some yeasty notes and alcohol. A bit spicey-fruity aftertaste. One-dimensional brew, but certainly similar to some Belgian abbey tripels, but same time has also kind of European strong lager touch.

[30cl bottle] Looks actually like a Helles from Lowe Bavaria: clear, pale golden colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Slightly sweet and strong spicy aroma with notes of nutmeg. Light bitter flavour, medium body feel with a moderate carbonation. Soft malty, slightly perfumed taste with some zesty fruity notes. Almost a bit slim, faint fruity finish with an rather imbalanced spicy touch. Unsatisfying Kristall-Tripel [27.I.09].

A hazy golden ale with a thick off white head. Aroma is doughy and lightly spiced, with light maple notes. In mouth, a yeasty malt with gin alcohol, coriander, and rather dry. Medium bodied. Bought at Cracked Kettle, Nov. 2006, BB 22-12-2007, so 1 yr past prime.

Bottle, 8.5%. Vinous, bready aroma, hint of ashtray. Cloudy dark yellow and grey colour. Big, stable grey/tan head. The flavour is quite peppery, a little sour vegetable and rough bitterness. Flavourful, but quite rough for a tripel. The alcohol does a lot to help the flavour, actually not too bad.
