Keg at The Queens Head, Kings Cross, Thursday 17th March 2016 Quite a wonderful tea aroma on the nose, this works beautifully, leafy, aromatic, sweet, great. In the mouth it’s less delicate (still nice) malty and fullsome the hops are less punchy. A9 A4 T6 P3 Ov15 3.7

Bottle from Soho Wine outside. Aroma is musty hops and somewhat artificial earl grey smell. Taste is similar but overpowering "tea" flavor makes it drier and more bitter. Sort of off putting. Similar earl grey flavor to earl grey ice cream etc. Not that nice - too perfume-y.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol, March 2014. Deep gold with a decent, white, head. Massive tea, mandarins and lime aroma. Slightly sweet in the mouth, with plenty of lemon and lime fruit, biscuity malts and a hoppy, dryish finish. A beer with plenty of character, but a bit on the challenging side.

Cask at the Hope Tap, Reading. Golden-amber with a moderate cream head and a middling fizz. Earl grey really does dominate, which is great because I love the stuff. Pungent floral perfume, lime, melon and marzipan come through in a generally sweet beer that gets dry with time. There is a little balancing bitter citrus too. Adnams have done it again - another superb collab that’s great fun to drink.

Cask at the crosse keys jdw. Orange / light copper coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is fest zesty lemon, very lemony, a touch cleaning product. Flavour is again zesty lemon, buscuity malt and some sweet lemon surbert. Some tanin in the finish. Assertive clean citrus bitterness. Decent enough. Some yeast esters and alcohol heat.

Cask at Thomas Sheraton JDW Stockton on Tees. Clear orange-brown golden amber colour, foam white head and aroma of floral, sweet zesty citrus & herbally earl gray tea. Taste is caramel, herby, woody, medicinal, & floral, citrusy, tea leaf with a light lingering bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, dry earthy tea & citrus bitter finish. Interesting, quite refreshing.
