Our 1936 lager is brewed with the softest water sourced within the Swiss Alps. This golden lager obtains its refreshing taste from beautiful Swiss hops & pilsner malt. 1936 is a ultra clean, crisp, fresh lager with a slight sweetness. The water used to brew 1936 Bière filters through the Swiss Alps, taking up to 25 years to reach the source. This unique water is combined with raw ingredients - Swiss hops and golden barley grown at high altitude on the mountains - to create a beer totally free from artificial preservatives or additives. Long famous for its innovative prowess in the development of new beers, the 1936 Bière brewery also leads in the field of climate protection.

Many thanks for this beer to Jacek Wigier (wineofdreams@gmail.com).

Picked this up in Fortnum and Mason because it was a London brewery tick. :-( . A crystal clear golden coloured pour with a uniform frothy white head. Aroma is sweet honey, caramel, toffee, little toffee apple, . Flavour is composed of dusty malts, medium sweet, honey/ toffee malts, apple, Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation, dusty, tangy finish. Meh.

Tap at Pitt Cue, London. Pours golden with a lasting white head. Aroma of sweet corn, malt, grain and light fruit. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Light body, sticky texture, average carbonation. Crisp finish.

"The beer is dark golden in colour. Tastes very smooth with some malty bitterness in the end. Like most lagers I’ve tasted on this blog it is easily drinkable, but without something special to put it apart from other lagers." - beersoftheworldproject.wordpress.com

Clear golden. Bready, lemony smell. Taste is less interesting, a fairly basic lager. Decent though.

330ml bottle from The Bottle Bank. Clear pale straw/golden-yellow colour with one finger white head, some retention. Light aroma, cereal grain, grass, pale malt. Standard lager taste, sweetish malt, subtle bitter finish. Nice. Refreshing and easy drinking but nothing remarkable.

Dorada muy clara. De fina burbuja y espuma blanca. Aroma escaso y cereal. En boca mantiene el tono malteado, no del todo equilibrado por el lúpulo, que solo aporta algo de amargor. Buen punto de gas, que la hace refrescante. Poco mas. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle from Mitchell’s Wines, Meadowhead - Clear yellow body, pillowy white top. Rather typical nose, a bit of grassiness, sugar and cereal. Taste is pleasant enough, no real characteristic that makes it have a WOW factor, and not much on the way out either. Refreshing, but bland.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is floral, mildly grainy, some herbs, mild toffee and earth. Flavour is a bit dusty with some slight grains, grass, herbs, toffee and a bit earthy notes.
