Our 1936 lager is brewed with the softest water sourced within the Swiss Alps. This golden lager obtains its refreshing taste from beautiful Swiss hops & pilsner malt. 1936 is a ultra clean, crisp, fresh lager with a slight sweetness. The water used to brew 1936 Bière filters through the Swiss Alps, taking up to 25 years to reach the source. This unique water is combined with raw ingredients - Swiss hops and golden barley grown at high altitude on the mountains - to create a beer totally free from artificial preservatives or additives. Long famous for its innovative prowess in the development of new beers, the 1936 Bière brewery also leads in the field of climate protection.

Clear, pale, yellow. Light malty aroma. Dull malty flavour. Really lacking in depth and character.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Golden amber colour, white foam head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of malt, grain, straw. Taste is similar malt & grain, straw, with some light citrus and cardboard notes, grassy and sweetish, plus a metallic bitterness. Watery, light bodied, medium carbonation, malty grassy finish.

33cl bottle from City Beveridge Co. Clear pale gold, large white head. Papery aroma. Better in mouth. Decent lemony hops in the mouth. Finish is biting. Gets better as the beer goes on. Refreshing even. OK.

Bottle from Jacks, Westholme Stores, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon consumed at home 18.06.12 This is a very standard pale lager, light golden colour with white bubbly head. Some cereal, little bit of bitterness refreshing but a bit boring and forgettable. Its ok, but just ok, nothing more nothing less. A5 A4 T5 P3 Ov10 2.7

Bottle. Very pale straw with a large white head. Aroma of hay, earth and flowers. Taste is then a bit of a let down - sweet hay with less than balancing bitterness.Clean finish with slight herbs and lemon. OK but dull.
