330ml bottle from Hippo Beers. Batch No. 1. Sparkling pale yellow gold colour, short-lived white foam head and aroma of tangy apple with light woody and barnyard notes. Flavour is apple, fruity, tart, bittersweet, some apple skin, oaky, vanilla and barnyard, with drying tannins. Light bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry tannic finish. Good balance, nicely drinkable.

Bottle in ABZ. It pours lightly hazy very pale yellow. The nose is musty, funky, over-ripe apple, farmyard, dirt and some mouldy cheese. The taste is crisp, tart, tangy apple, limeade, lemon zest, mild acidity, apple skin, gooseberry and some farmyard with a dry finish. Light - medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Pretty crisp and tasty, although the aroma is "challenging".
