A beer to explore the character of rye malt. A similar hop bill to East Coast IPA with plenty of IBUs (estimated 76 IBU) and enough balancing malt character. The malt was emphasised with a mash at 67C for medium body and this is also increased by the flavour of the rye.

500ml bottle. Hazy amber colour, big beige foam head and grainy, spicy hop aroma. Taste is malt, rye, grain, with woody hop & spicy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry woody grassy bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Hazy deep amber beer, decent cream colour head. Palate is smooth, airy and fairly dry. Fluffy malts. Bitterish floralness getting soapy. Traces of fruits and spice. Airy dry finish. Soapy linger. A poor effort from Poppyland, most disappointing.
