Bottle from HOTM, online purchase. First from this cidery. Clear gold, some spritzy white foam. Aroma has a fruity part caramelised pear with core and skin notes, some midget gem sweets. Taste is sharp sour fruity pear, somewhat syrupy, hint of bitter skins but quite sweet and sugary in finish. Lovely genuine pear fruitiness but with it being so sour and sweet just lacks some lightness of touch to balance it.

Bottle from the House of Trembling Madness. Clear burnished gold with a middling white head. A hint of dryness up front, before sweet baked pear and vanilla and a little apple skin come through. There's a hint of sharpness in the caramel finish. The caramel and vanilla give quite a full mouthfeel despite the fizz. It's decent, if a little too sweet by the end.

375ml bottle @ Big Hand Alehouse, Chester. Pours a lightly misty gold, aroma presents fresh fruity poire notes. Taste is oily, with fresh poire fruit, a little gummy, moderately sweet with nice clarity of flavour. Light spritz. Decent poire from a great producer. Just odd to see this label design clearly for the US market, compared to their boring French designs.

375ml bottle from CentrAle, Newcastle station. Sparkling pale yellow gold colour, short-lived fizzy white foam head and aroma of pear juice, caramel. Taste is pear, fruity, tart and sweet, juicy, with some caramel & vanilla notes. Syrupy mouthfeel, light to medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, finish is tart with some lingering sweetness. Quite OK.
